Bring the heavily armed Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth to your collection with this MG 1/100 model kit from Bandai Spirits. Appearing in Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Steel 7, the Full Cloth takes the already distinctive pirate-inspired Crossbone design and surrounds it with its imposing Full Cloth armour and an enormous selection of weaponry.

At 1/100 Master Grade scale, the kit combines detailed armour separation with an internal structure, extensive articulation and a particularly impressive finished silhouette. The large Full Cloth mantle gives the model considerably more presence than the standard Crossbone X-1 while retaining the characteristic skull motifs and compact proportions of the original mobile suit.

Full Cloth Armour & Master Grade Engineering

The defining feature is naturally the Full Cloth mantle, with its large individual armour sections surrounding the shoulders and upper body. The kit incorporates an inner shoulder joint designed to maintain useful articulation despite the additional armour, allowing the Crossbone to carry and pose with its substantial weapons loadout.

It also features a detachable Core Fighter, adding another mechanical element to the build beyond the external armour and weapons.

How to Build

The MG Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth is a considerably more involved build than a typical High Grade kit, particularly once the Full Cloth armour and extensive weapon selection are taken into account.

A sharp pair of hobby nippers and careful nub cleanup will give the best result. The predominantly white armour also responds particularly well to panel lining, while the included marking sheets allow you to add further detail to the finished model. Painting isn't required, but the amount of mechanical and weapon detail makes this a particularly good kit for builders who want to take the finish further.
