Originally released in the early 1980s as part of the "Best Mecha Collection" (#8), this kit is the quintessential "Old Kit" (Kyu-kitto). Unlike modern reprints, this version features the original Red Bandai Logo and the classic matte-finish box art prized by serious collectors and Gundam historians.
Authentic Retro Modeling
This is not a modern "Snap-Fit" kit. This 1980s original represents the era of traditional model making, requiring plastic cement (glue) and paint to complete. The kit captures the industrial, military aesthetic of the Earth Federation Space Force as it was first imagined in 1979.

How to build:
As a vintage kit, the Salamis requires hobby glue. At Dragoon Gaming, we recommend Tamiya Extra Thin Cement to preserve the integrity of the old-school plastic. To maintain the vintage "box art" look, we suggest hand-painting with classic matte enamels to match the 1980s anime palette.

Please note that customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees associated with international shipments. For deliveries to the UK VAT is included within the price paid at checkout.
We ship to the European Union using the Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme. For orders with a goods value under €150, VAT is collected at checkout — no additional charges will be applied on delivery.
For orders with a goods value of €150 or more, IOSS does not apply. These shipments are subject to import VAT and any applicable customs duties levied by the destination country, which will be collected by the carrier upon delivery. We are unable to pre-pay these charges on your behalf.
